Rob has over 30 years’ experience working for domestic and international banking and non-bank financial institutions. This experience compliments Rob’s predominant areas of practice, property based retail commercial work.
Rob has worked on significant structured and project financings including cross border preference share, power station and tax based leveraged lease transactions. Rob is also highly experienced in acting on property developments including subdivisions and strata title and community title projects, as well as corporate commercial asset and distressed assest acquisitions and disposals.
Rob has negotiated and documented AU $500m denominated preference share transactions issued by major corporate clients of a parent bank to Australian institutional investors and commercial and residential transactions ranging up to AU $30m per transaction.
He has conducted work for major international property developers, boutique private internationally based property investor groups and internationally owned domestic banks.
In most recent times Rob has developed a retail and commercial leasing base, particularly in the retail service station sector. These clients are attracted to the commercial experience Robert has developed over time and to its particular application to the needs of these clients. These clients include the largest private service station operator on the east coast of Australia, and iconic fashion houses and significant shopping centre operators.
