Senior Associate

Justine is a Senior Associate at Madison Marcus and integral part of the Family Law Division working closely with Director & Divisional Head of Family Law, Wills & Estates Theresa Armstrong.

Justine has an extensive background in the legal space for over a decade in legal administration and support before being admitted in 2015. Justine gained significant experience in Property law before making the decision to transition and dedicate her continual growth primarily in family law. Justine has an empathetic, knowledgeable and practical approach when assisting her clients to navigate divorce applications, parenting and children matters including recovery orders, relocation issues both local and international, same-sex de facto matters and financial matters in both modest to more complex higher net worth estates. Justine’s criminal litigation experience at local Court and District Court of Appeal level endows a further level of expertise and understanding in Apprehended Domestic Violence orders acting for both applicant and respondent.

Justine works tirelessly for her clients and collaboratively with her colleagues seeking a mutual agreement for all parties involved as a first step prior to taking a litigious approach. Having highly developed advocacy skills Justine is adept to appear in Local, District, and in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Justine is currently admitted in the Supreme Court of NSW and High Court of Australia and an active member of the Law Society of NSW and Family Section of the Family Law Council.
