Madison Marcus was proud to support the 15th Annual Sydney Chocolate Ball, an evening dedicated to advancing research, raising awareness and supporting people living with facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD).
Bringing together supporters, sponsors and advocates, the event celebrated the remarkable progress made by FSHD Global towards developing treatments and ultimately finding a cure for this debilitating condition.

This year’s event was another outstanding success, raising almost $1.7 million to support the foundation’s ongoing mission.
Advancing Research and Access to Clinical Trials
For almost two decades, FSHD Global has championed world-class medical research aimed at improving the lives of people affected by FSHD.
With clinical trials now underway in Australia, the foundation’s focus has expanded to ensuring those who need them most, including children, have opportunities to access these trials.
The funds raised through the Sydney Chocolate Ball will help FSHD Global continue its work, supporting research initiatives and efforts to improve access to emerging treatments.
An Evening of Generosity and Support
The success of the 15th Annual Sydney Chocolate Ball reflects the generosity and commitment of the many individuals and organisations supporting FSHD Global’s mission.

Special recognition goes to Sonia Kruger and Luke Mangan, who generously contributed their time, talent and support to the evening.
The evening also featured celebrity auctioneer Robert Klaric, CEO and Founder of The Property Expert International Prestige Advisory and Advocacy service. With more than 40 years of experience in the property industry, Robert brought his extensive expertise to the evening’s live auction.
The event was also made possible through the contributions of Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Event supporters, Beauty Bar and Cocktail Bar Sponsors, and Prize Donors.
Among the evening’s highlights was the live auction, which featured two Denza B5 vehicles generously provided by Denza Sydney. Their contribution, together with the generosity of the successful bidders, helped support the event’s fundraising efforts.
Continuing the Momentum
While the Sydney Chocolate Ball has concluded, opportunities remain to support FSHD Global’s important work.

One such initiative is the Clinical Trial Passport Balloon, which helps Australians living with FSHD access the testing required to prepare for clinical trials.
Of the 50 balloons available, 27 were purchased during the event. Supporters can help FSHD Global reach its goal by purchasing a balloon.
Further contributions towards FSHD research, muscle regeneration and the search for effective treatments can also be made through the Sydney Chocolate Ball donation page.
Proud to Support an Important Cause
Madison Marcus is proud to stand alongside FSHD Global and the many organisations and individuals committed to advancing research and improving outcomes for those affected by FSHD.
We congratulate FSHD Global on another successful Sydney Chocolate Ball and acknowledge the dedication of everyone involved in bringing the event together.
We look forward to seeing the continued progress of this important work.
