Carmelo has acted for clients to complete a range of financial transactions from domestic and commercial loans through to large construction developments and property acquisitions. This includes reviewing leases and construction and land purchase contracts from a financier’s perspective.

Key Transactions:

• Acting for one of Australia’s biggest banks to provide finance for a development to construct over 70 apartments this included producing loan and security documents, vetting pre-sale contracts, a construction contract and property due diligence ensuring all preconditions were satisfied.
• Acting for one of Australia’s biggest banks on a property acquisition worth over $50m. This involved reviewing the purchase contract, producing loan and security documents, property due diligence and settlement attendance and lodgement and registration of the bank’s security interests.
• Acting for one of Australia’s biggest banks on restructuring one of its large customer’s security structure including considering the bank’s current security and advising on what would be a premium security position.
